Innovative Construction Practices Lead the Way
The $50 million project exemplifies modern construction practices focusing on sustainability and efficiency, looking to complete initial phases by 2026. Key to operations is the use of advanced GPS technology that ensures precision in mass grading, which is critical given the campus’s history of serving 37,000 daily visitors - from patients to staff. Project manager Bret Swenson notes, “There is a lot of hometown pride in our work here,” highlighting the communal aspect of the endeavor. As efforts unfold, Payne & Dolan's contribution resembles the essential functions of blood vessels, flowing through the campus to create an infrastructural skeleton that supports future medical innovations.
Prioritizing Recycling and Efficiency

During the demolition of outdated facilities, including a 450,000-square-foot former mental hospital, 85 percent of the materials were recycled.
